Unlike most previous studies, this work focuses on the secondary source mechanisms, i.e., the scattering of induced near-wall vortices at the trailing edge (TE) rather than the initial vortex at the leading edge (LE). The paper uses numerical simulations to investigate both inviscid and viscous (laminar) flows. The main finding is that the TE scattering is the main noise source at high frequencies under the present flow conditions.
