Unit 6 Analysing healthcare utilisation
This unit examines the recording and spatial analysis of patients’ use of healthcare facilities. The unit is divided into two parts:
- healthcare records: This part looks at how data on patients are compiled and recorded.
- spatial interaction models: This part looks at how data on spatial patterns of healthcare use can be analysed, particularly where we have data on both patients’ residential addresses (origins) and the facilities that they use (destinations).
