{"id":69,"date":"2025-03-12T13:47:03","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T13:47:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/gain\/?page_id=69"},"modified":"2025-04-18T11:15:15","modified_gmt":"2025-04-18T10:15:15","slug":"research-opportunities","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/gain\/research-opportunities\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Opportunities"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">PhD Study<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are interested in studying a PhD at the University of Southampton please see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.southampton.ac.uk\/study\/postgraduate-research\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.southampton.ac.uk\/study\/postgraduate-research\">more information<\/a> on our University website. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">GAIN Research Support Fund<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re a PhD student, Teaching Fellow or ECR at the University of Southampton with a thesis in an area of research related to Gender and Inequalities, you are eligible to apply for a grant of up to \u00a3<strong>150 <\/strong>to help cover the costs of research fieldwork or conference attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, please send a short 250-word description which includes the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>How much money you are applying for<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>How you will use the money<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your full name<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your supervisors&#8217; names<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Thesis title<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your department<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Applicants should add whether they are funded\/unfunded PhD students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your contract status<br><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We will prioritise those applicants who haven\u2019t received any other funding.
