About
Environmental Sensing at Southampton
(ES@S; pronounced EE-sætz) was borne out of our passion for researching how Earth processes work. It has developed into a client focused enterprise which seeks to tackle your problems using innovative techniques and solutions.

Where we’re based
We’re based at University of Southampton, UK, as a part of the flagship Southampton Geospatial initiative.
It is the people and expertise, coupled with cutting
edge equipment, including both off the shelf and bespoke environmental sensing systems, which sets ES@S apart from others. We actively support enterprise and research activities through data acquisition, processing and interpretation of data, regularly publishing peer-reviewed articles.

What we do
Innovation is delivered via a network of experts who support ES@S activity.
Being based at the University of Southampton means that ES@S can tap into a vast network of leading scientists from fields as diverse as hydrology, marine science, ecology, remote sensing, population dynamics and social science.
Working with those who are leading their respective disciplines means that we can bring the latest cutting edge science to your project. We have a core team of dedicated personnel who support ES@S, drawing upon other experts as needed.
