Topics may include but are not limited to, the use in language teaching or research of:<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 social networking sites<br \/>\n\u2013 Personal Learning Environment<br \/>\n\u2013 Communities of Practice<br \/>\n\u2013 mobile technology<br \/>\n\u2013 MOOCs and open learning<br \/>\n\u2013 blogs or wikis<br \/>\n\u2013 open educational resources<br \/>\n\u2013 Virtual reality and augmented reality<br \/>\n\u2013 Gamification<br \/>\n\u2013 virtual learning environments<br \/>\n\u2013 online tools or courses<br \/>\n\u2013 innovative online learning designs or environments<br \/>\n\u2013 autonomous learning<br \/>\n\u2013 blended learning<br \/>\n\u2013 social media, e.g. micro-blogging (e.g. Twitter)<br \/>\n\u2013 student-generated digital content<\/p>\n<p>Short papers from the event will be published as an open access ebook.<\/p>\n<p><strong>ORAL PRESENTATIONS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Presentations (20 mins + 5 mins questions) should describe and evaluate an innovative use of technology with students in higher education and other sectors. Our focus is language teaching; however, we also welcome proposals related to other disciplines, if the ideas can be generally applied cross-discipline.<\/p>\n<p>This might include examples of student engagement for academic purposes with virtual worlds, social networking websites, open educational resources or other Web.2.0 tools; use of innovative learning designs or creative e-learning environments and methods.<\/p>\n<p><strong>POSTERS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Posters should present work on a particular project or topic. They should summarise the key points and give enough appropriate information for the topic\/project to be understood in 5-15 minutes.
