Select the options&nbsp; you would like to show by ticking the boxes underneath the map.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Southampton Common<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Southampton Common is an urban haven for wildlife, supporting various species of animals and plants, including some the public may miss such as owls, bats and newts. As a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) it\u2019s an ideal place in the city to learn about and connect with nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.southampton.gov.uk\/people-places\/parks-open-spaces\/hawthorns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre<\/a>&nbsp;<em>Hawthorns Urban Wildlife Centre, situated on the Common, is open to the public and school groups and is a great place to learn about local biodiversity.
