From a early age, she was constantly told that she would never be able to do much because of her deafness. Despite the negativity around her, Rachel had a strong urge to prove her doubters wrong. <em>&#8220;When we are children, I don&#8217;t think we inherently believe that we can&#8217;t do things. We need to hold on to this belief as we grow older&#8221;<\/em>.\u00a0From the age of \u00a0just 18 months, Kolb began speech therapy and nowadays, she is bilingual; using sign language as well as spoken English.<\/p>\n<p>I found this video very inspiring!
