It can be accessed at <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.soton.ac.uk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/connect.soton.ac.uk<\/a>, and anyone with a university login can set up a meeting. To find the app, Google \u2018Adobe Connect mobile\u2019 as it&#8217;s hard to find in the App Store.<\/p>\n<p>Each meeting has a unique URL and anyone with the access code can join the meeting, or it\u2019s possible to set it up so that users ask to join and are then approved. The presenter(s) can share their own screen(s) with the participants, as well as sharing an individual\u2019s screen with the group.<\/p>\n<p>The iSolutions MLE team have created <a href=\"http:\/\/elearn.southampton.ac.uk\/connect\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">guides<\/a> which cover the basics for Adobe Connect. For more advanced features such as breakout rooms, polling etc. the Help button (top right) in Connect provides <a href=\"https:\/\/connect.soton.ac.uk\/common\/help\/en\/connect\/9.0\/using\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">detailed guides<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Adam also demonstrated some of the Student Response Systems that allow students to vote or engage in interactive activities during a taught session, using their laptop or mobile device. There are 250 <strong>ResponseWare<\/strong> licences currently available, that allow students to use their phones or devices to answer questions as they would have done with clickers\/zappers previously. iSolutions have a <a href=\"http:\/\/elearn.southampton.ac.uk\/zappers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Turning Point help page<\/a>, and Turning Technologies provide <a href=\"http:\/\/www.turningtechnologies.co.uk\/training\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">many useful guides and videos<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>An alternative in-class polling system, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/telic.wordpress.com\/2016\/03\/31\/meetoo-online-polling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vevox (formerly known as MeeToo)<\/a><\/strong> is free for up to 100 students.
