Learning sent to me, 12 Tiki-Tokis&#8230;<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/321\/2017\/12\/day-12.png?w=755\" alt=\"12 TikiTokis\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tiki-Toki is web-based software for creating interactive timelines.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are various options available for you to fully customise your timelines&#8230; and lots of benefits over other timeline software:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Nothing to download (it&#8217;s browser-based, but there&#8217;s a desktop app if you&#8217;d prefer that)<\/li><li>3D timelines available<\/li><li>Videos (YouTube and Vimeo) and images can be incorporated<\/li><li>Each timeline has its own shareable URL<\/li><li>Timelines can include several colour-coded categories<\/li><li>Timelines can easily be split into different timespans<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Payment model<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Like most web-based software, there is a free option and there are several premium&nbsp;versions (Edu, Bronze and Silver)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image alignnone size-full wp-image-536\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"755\" height=\"343\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/321\/2017\/11\/Screen-Shot-2017-11-30-at-17.53.58.png?resize=755%2C343\" alt=\"TikiToki pricing model. As long as your content includes some kind of progression, it is usually possible to work it into this format. Here are some ideas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Students create introductions to who they are and what has influenced them<\/li><li>Plan out a visual schedule for the year<\/li><li>Explore granular aspects of an event (minute by minute analysis of a debate or election, for example)<\/li><li>Consider the evolution of a company\/product<\/li><li>Explore the life of an influential person<\/li><li>Review changes in regulations<\/li><li>Analyse social changes and trends over time<\/li><li>Tell a story in sequence (can be helpful for understanding a non-linear narrative)<\/li><li>Explain a process or procedure<\/li><li>Explore the use of changing technology in a particular area<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What uses can you think of for Tiki-Toki?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a useful blog post on the Center for Teaching at Vanderbilt University&#8217;s website about <a rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" href=\"https:\/\/cft.vanderbilt.edu\/guides-sub-pages\/digital-timelines\/\" target=\"_blank\">Digital Timelines<\/a>.
