Over the last week or so, we have been asked questions about how to deal with remote teaching and tools that might help us in these uncertain times. Here are our top tips to make the next few weeks a little bit easier. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Be realistic<\/h2>\n

    Be realistic about what you can deliver. It\u2019s easy to feel overwhelmed at times like these, so take a moment to pause and think about what will work best for you right now.<\/p><\/li>

  2. Practise using Microsoft Teams<\/a><\/h2>\n

    Take this opportunity to learn about Teams and keep using it to talk to colleagues.<\/p><\/li>\n

  3. Set up a Teams site<\/h2> \n

    Use it for socialising and sharing your learning with colleagues.<\/p><\/li>\n

  4. Hold daily stand ups<\/a> and meetings via Teams<\/h2>\n

    Take time to ask other people what they are doing, how they are coping, how they are feeling, what is blocking their work.<\/p><\/li>\n

  5. Arrange times for your students to connect with you<\/h2>\n

    Set your times and expectations out clearly. If you are using Microsoft Teams decide how you want to set your notifications.<\/a><\/p><\/li>\n

  6. Take a look at our meeting checklist<\/a><\/h2> \n

    Get the most out of your meetings. Remember, if you are invited to virtual meetings in Teams, mute your mic unless you are presenting (and remind your students to do the same). <\/p><\/li>\n

  7. Check your Blackboard content<\/h2> \n

    Is it up to date and ready to go? If not, read our information about continuity<\/a> in BlackBoard.<\/p><\/li>\n

  8. Attend the DLConnect webinars<\/h2>\n

    These are hosted in the Digital Learning Connect Teams site. \nUse the join code<\/a> ioy70vy or connect directly<\/a><\/p><\/li>\n

  9. Keep an eye on the CHEP SharePoint site<\/a><\/h2> \n
