{"id":2,"date":"2019-06-25T11:50:11","date_gmt":"2019-06-25T10:50:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/chep-blog\/?page_id=2"},"modified":"2024-07-02T09:24:36","modified_gmt":"2024-07-02T08:24:36","slug":"about-us","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/chep-blog\/","title":{"rendered":"About us"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) provides opportunities for academic professional development (Education, Research and Knowledge Exchange &amp; Enterprise (KEE)) for all staff across the university.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We achieve this by working with partners across the university to make available a wide range of professional learning activities, ranging from formal courses and programmes, through faculty-based workshops and networks, to the production of resources and the sharing of good practice.&nbsp; Our aim is to ensure that all professional learning activities are provided in meaningful and contextualised formats, addressing the needs of diverse groups and individuals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Our key commitments<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We will provide opportunities for all academic staff and PGRs to meet and evidence University agreed standards of competence &amp; excellence in all areas of academic practice, throughout their academic careers.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will provide support that aligns to the\u00a0University strategy\u00a0with CHEP taking a leading role in numerous University wide\u00a0enhancement projects\u00a0and activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will cultivate a model of partnership delivery that promotes a community of practice and \u201cOne Team\u201d culture to academic activities as well as our\u00a0&#8220;Triple Helix&#8221;\u00a0approach.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We will ensure high quality, evidence-informed activity that can demonstrate impact and that aligns with both individual needs and the University Strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Whether you have a question, suggestion, or just want to meet us and find out what we do, we would be delighted to hear from you.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-button\"><a class=\"wp-block-button__link has-luminous-vivid-amber-background-color has-background wp-element-button\" href=\"http:\/\/generic.wordpress.soton.ac.uk\/chep-blog\/contact-us\/\">Contact us<\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Centre for Higher Education Practice (CHEP) provides opportunities for academic professional development (Education, Research and Knowledge Exchange &amp; Enterprise (KEE)) for all staff across the university.
