Dr Stephen Beers and his team have been awarded £200,000 by Bloodwise to investigate why some leukaemia patients don’t respond to a type of treatment. The grant will be used to find ways to reverse drug resistance in chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL). Read the full story here in the Daily Echo.
Cancer Research UK have announced that our current facilities at Southampton General Hospital will be awarded £4m as part of a £16m UK initiative to help fight the most malignant cancers.
