Welcome to our project portfolio. Herein, we present an innovative web application as a coursework of the module COMP6217 Science of Online Social Networks at the University of Southampton. Aura is a system that aggregates content from several existing social networks websites such as Facebook, Instagram and Twitter to analyse the sentiment on what their subscribers publish and share.
It is a fun way for people to check their personal behaviour on the Web, built upon a gamification strategy and amusingly inspired by the mystic concept of human energy*. Aura gives the followers a daily digest of their mood based on the words used by them, on their reactions (on Facebook or YouTube, for example) to content published by others, and on information provided on Aura’s quizzes and surveys.
We expect our subscribers to laugh at themselves and find on Aura the opportunity to improve as human, in order to be better and positive people.
*Disclaimer: We use the Aura concept as a metaphor, the application does not intend to serve to any religious or even spiritualistic purpose.
