I\u2019m lucky because my visit times with the regular weekly volunteer day at the <a href=\"http:\/\/hampshireculturaltrust.org.uk\/content\/archaeology-collections\" target=\"_blank\">Archaeology Stores<\/a>, managed by the Curator of Archaeology, David Allen.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>To find out more about the work of David and the team, visit their <a href=\"https:\/\/hampshirearchaeology.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">excellent blog,<\/a> which has a new post every Monday.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Hampshire Archaeology blog: <a href=\"https:\/\/hampshirearchaeology.wordpress.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">https:\/\/hampshirearchaeology.wordpress.com\/<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>\u2014 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.york.ac.uk\/archaeology\/staff\/honorary-visiting\/nicole-beale\/\" target=\"_blank\">Nicole Beale<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>\u2014<\/p>\n<p>Cynthia is working with Garrard to select samples for dating, to find out more about the human remains from the Danebury environs. Today they are working on the bones from an Iron Age cemetery, Suddern Farm. The work is part of a project with Oxford University, University of Glasgow and University of Leicester, and is ongoing.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/nes104\/19781103739\/in\/album-72157656268926502\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/345\/19781103739_895cc0be24_z_d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Garrard and Cynthia look at the remains from the Danebury environs<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Garrard points out that there is a visible healed fracture on the radius of the left wrist of the individual that they are looking at.<\/p>\n<div class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/nes104\/19345164384\/in\/album-72157656268926502\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/farm1.staticflickr.com\/317\/19345164384_83e16bd11b_z_d.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Garrard points out the healed fracture<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Garrard is working on an individual from Weyhill Fair that was found under the foundations of a building.
