Kate and Chris attended “Working together: A training workshop on participatory and co-produced research”, organised the Faculty of Medicine. They gave a presentation about the work we have been doing setting up an active and enduring patient and public involvement group for people with lived experience of cochlear implants. The presentation focused on how researchers and public members connect with each other and build relationships within Southampton.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris gave a presentation titled \u2018That is amazing, you put that thing on and you\u2019re not deaf!\u2019. Inspired by a comment from Chris\u2019 barber after he put his cochlear implant back on after a haircut.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the workshop, Chris was invited to write a blog about his perspective on patient-informed research which included some comments on the topic from Kate\u2019s perspective.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
