Our partners

We need diverse representation of different people with lived experience of hearing loss and/or cochlear implants, as well as their loved ones. We need to engage with a broad range of people including different:

  • ages
  • ethnicities
  • life experiences

We work with our group to explore how we can engage with the wider community.

Our community partner

Steve Beal and his wife Chris have been raising awareness of hearing loss and deafness in the local community for the last 17 years. They run a Hard of Hearing support group called Let’s Communicate. the group has been active in Southampton for 10 years.

Steve is profoundly deaf and has a lovely hearing dog called Jemma.

Kate and Steve met in November 2022 when they formed a strong partnership, united in their mission to raise awareness and improve lives for people who are living with hearing challenges.
