About Us

At the heart of human nature, there is storytelling.

The earliest examples of storytelling in the human lineage date back almost 50,000 years. Placing ourselves throughout time and space not only expands our capacity for thought through imaginative play, for example, but also brings us closer together when we work on an idea and build it from the ground up.

Stories from Bones brings our innate love of storytelling to the forefront of science communication and allows all walks of life to get involved. We serve as an online depository for the most up-to-date findings in human history, focussing not only on what we know of the individuals being studied, but also the stories surrounding their discovery, and the real people who work on elucidating our rich and complex history.

What do we do?

Stories from Bones not only is an accessible online space for the public, researchers and educators from around the world, it is an opportunity for outreach to our local community, with the chance to enthuse the public with cutting-edge science happening in their area, but also to inspire the local youth who may be interested in a career in STEM subjects.
