Knowing the customer is the key of any business endeavor. It give us the proper guidance on how to build the right strategy and value to deliver. Without (profitable) customer, the sustainability of the business may crumble in the future. In this case, we will have multiple customer segmentation and different approaches of strategies.
Mainly, our business will run in education sector with particular emphasize in university sector. This is based on the opportunity that we found in new students who just arrived in their university. Our first implementation will be based in University of Southampton. The main target users will be the new students in the University of Southampton.
However the main customers will not be the students. Actually we will propose 2 different plans: short term and long term proposals.
- Short term:
We will focus on club and activities inside the university. This is important as we try to build the application that focused on connecting people with similar hobby and interest. - Long term:
After the application gained some recognition even from the people outside the university, we will move to sell the application to other universities (such as Southampton Solent University), which has similar problem and interested to implement the application according their need.
