I am a PhD student at the University of Southampton. My research is focused on Ostia, considering the sacrality of urban landscapes and how this impacted both the urban enviornment and interactions within the city. I am approaching this by attemting to reconstruct processional routes within Ostia using a variety of digital computing methods that consider how movement, visibility, and sound affected both the processional route and the wider citysape. My undergraduate degree was in English, Latin, and Medieval Studies in 2011. I then went on to recieve a MA in Classical Archaeology from the University of British Columbia (2013) as well as a second MA in Maritime Civilizations, focusing on maritime archaeology from the University of Haifa (2014). I have experience excavating in Italy, FYROM (Macedonia), and many sites throughout Israel.
